APARTMENTS CHECKLIST: 
  1. Does the project have to comply with access requirements?

  2. Determine the type of multi-family units: Single or multi-story? Apartments, condominiums or dormitories?

  3. Determine number of units per building. Regulations apply on building-by-building basis.

  4. Determine the type of building entrance (multiple or single)? This will have an effect on the number of units to be accessible & adaptable.

  5. Does the building have an elevator? If so, all floors & units are required to be  accessible & adaptable. If the elevator is provided only as means to create an accessible route to ground floor, only those units on ground floor are subject to regulations.

  6. Qualifying Ground Floor Units: All units in buildings requiring access shall be made accessible & adaptable.

  7. Common Use Areas and Facilities (Pools & Decks, Rec. Rooms, etc): Must be accessible.
